Welcome to the Map Builder

Learn how maps, POIs, and filters work so you can explore and create interactive experiences with ease.

What is the Viewer?

Viewer
The main interface for exploring the map and special markers

The Viewer is where you can see and interact with the map. You can zoom in and out, pan around, and click on Points of Interest (POIs) to learn more about them.

What is the Builder?

Builder
The tool for creating and customizing maps and POIs.

The Builder is where you can create new maps and add Points of Interest (POIs). You can customize the look and feel of your map, add descriptions, images, and links to POIs, and organize them into categories.

What is a Map?

Maps
The foundation of your experience

A map is the base layer where all your content lives. It represents a specific area (like a campus, a town, or a park). You can zoom, pan, and navigate through maps to discover Points of Interest (POIs) added by creators.

What is a POI?

Points of Interest (POIs)
The places that matter

A POI is a location on the map with extra information. It could be a landmark, a business, an artwork, or any place worth highlighting. Each POI can contain details like descriptions, images, links, or directions, helping visitors explore and learn more about the area.

Categories & Filters

Organize and Explore
Find what interests you

POIs are grouped into categories (like Food, Art, History). You can use filters to show only the types of places you want to see. This makes exploring the map simple and tailored to your interests.
